Ann Slechta has assisted individuals, families, and businesses with making informed decisions about their financial picture for nearly 11 years.  Ann takes time to get to know her client, she assists them in building a personalized financial plan and coaches her client through a process that aims to achieve their goals established along the way.  

Ann has a passion assisting family business owners and farmers.  Ann enjoys assisting the business owner or farmer in building a succession plan to carrying on the family legacy to the next generation.  Ann is married to David Slechta, a sixth generation farmer of Crawford County.  

Ann earned her education from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education while competing as a varsity letter winner on the Women’s Golf team.  She earned her Master of Sports Administration degree from the Ohio University.  Ann’s previous career included coaching Division I Women’s Golf for 6 years, with three years spent at Ohio University, one year at Wichita State and two years at the University of Notre Dame.  Ann utilizes many of the skills she gained while playing and coaching competitive golf to assist her clients in building confidence in the plan they have created together.  

Ann holds her series 7 and 66 registrations held through LPL Financial and life insurance license.  She has earned a RICP® designation.  She is a member of the Women In Financial Services and NAIFA groups.  She is a member of the Jefferson Rotary group, the Carroll’s Lion’s Club, and Westside Fortnightly group.  Ann currently serves as the President of the New Hope Foundation Board, Vice Chair of the Carroll United Methodist Church Council and active volunteer for the St. Anthony Foundation.  

Ann can be found spending time raising her family, a daughter Rylee (7) twins, Ellie and Drew (4) with her husband David.   David and Ann live on an acreage outside of Carroll and enjoy coaching the kids rec sports, spending time on the golf course, maintaining the family farm, or cheering on the Hawkeyes and Wildcats.
